STEP 1

15-MINUTE CALL

Quick intro call to hear your date, dress, and goals. If it’s a fit, we can move forward!

STEP 2

FIRST FITTING

We assess your gown, pin and discuss alterations, and walk you through an itemized quote so you know exactly what you’re paying for and why.

A $75 fitting fee is applied to your total; a 50% deposit starts the work.

STEP 3

FOLLOW UP FITTINGS

1–3 visits to fine-tune bust, waist, hips, straps, and/or movement so the gown actually feels like it was made for you. Hem and bustle are finished toward the end.

Final payment is collected at your last fitting.

STEP 4

FINAL FITTING

Full look on! We check comfort, teach your bustle, and ensure you feel confident. Final payment is collected at your last fitting and you leave ready for the aisle.

  • Turning an existing garment (often a mom’s or grandmother’s wedding dress/veil) into a new bridal look or accessory: a full redesign, modernized gown, reception dress, veil, overskirt, cape, bow, gloves, robe, bouquet wrap, christening gown, etc.

  • Price depends on the project and can range from $300 to $1,500. We can give a more accurate price during the consultation.

  • Usually: lace motifs, appliqués, beading, buttons, trims, veils, sleeves, and salvageable fabric panels. We’ll advise what’s structurally sound and what’s too fragile.

  • Preferred but not required. Vintage pieces often benefit from a gentle professional clean before we cut.

DESIGNERS AT AHEM

WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH

Learn about our creative and talented designers.

OUR mission

TO MAKE FASHION AN ACCESSIBLE AND DIGNIFYING EXPERIENCE

At AHEM, we believe fashion should be personal, local, and accessible. That’s why we’re building a platform where fashion designers can connect  with people in our community who are looking for custom clothing, from everyday pieces like shirts and pants to formalwear and bridal gowns. Too often, talented designers find themselves without a space to create for real people.

We want to change that by offering a home where designers can grow their own brands, collaborate with local clients, and do what they love: bring unique ideas to life through clothing. Our hope is to make fashion not just something you buy but something you experience, right here in your own neighborhood!
